Mince Pies are a Christmas classic and the perfect thing to bake right before Christmas. I’ve used various different mince pie recipes over the years, last year I tried something a little different and baked Jamie Oliver’s Filo Mine Pies, which were divine.

However, this year I’ve decided to use Paul Hollywood’s classic mince pie recipe. Having thoroughly enjoyed The Great British Bake Off and the many recipes which Paul displayed during The Great British Bake Off Master Classes I thought that this recipe would be ideal for a traditional mince pie.


I’m planning on baking my mince pies this weekend so we’ve got fresh pies to leave out on Christmas Eve. But if you bake yours a little earlier keep them fresh in an air tight container. And don’t be tempted to dust them with icing sugar until you’re ready to serve.
